Moving to SAP Suite on HANA or SAP S/4HANA is not a simple upgrade. Bluefin is here to bring clarity and understanding to the process. Our experts have designed a highly successful discovery process to support the first steps of any organization’s journey to SAP Suite on HANA or S/4HANA. In this series, we’ll be breaking down developing a business case, or roadmap, into bite-sized chunks detailing some of the preliminary tasks that should be undertaken.

Transaction analysis

We’ll use the result of our step-by-step description of the workload analysis to identify the SAP GUI transactions that will not be available after a conversion to SAP S/4HANA.

Sample Excel Output of the Workload Analysis

For every new release, SAP developers share a list of all the transactions that will be impacted. Manually matching the 400+ pages of the so-called “Simplification List” PDF document is extremely time consuming. To overcome this issue, our team has built a custom Fiori application. This app imports the above Excel list and matches it with the Simplification List that we have converted into a transaction database. The result looks like this:

SAP S/4HANA Transaction Analyzer. (C) Bluefin Solutions

Simply share the list of transactions that you created from the ‘workload analysis’ with your Bluefin consultant and we’ll identify the key transactions that will impact your business processes.

Next time, we’ll be looking at Business Functions, so stay tuned!
