BW Data Integrity Review

In order to get real benefit from BW, the data it contains must be timely and accurate. However, in our experience data within BW is at best of poor quality and at worst plain wrong.

Bluefin's Data Integrity Review aims to give you confidence in your data.

It does this by checking a number of areas of your system and design such as:

• ODS Primary Keys
  
• ABAP and formula based data transformations
  
• Data mapping of source and target InfoObjects
  

The review involves significant amounts of data reconciliation testing. This is performed at a high level via control reports, and at a detailed level using random sampling.

We will also build up a reconciliation methodology for you to run by yourselves on a regular basis.

How long the review takes depends on the complexity of the area being reviewed but typically should be complete in three to five days.

BW System Usage Review

Large BW systems have hundreds if not thousands of users. But have you ever examined usage patterns?

Unlike SAP R/3, BW system usage is optional and may not be as high as you like. BW licenses represent significant investment, and users who are not using the product negate the business case that was made.

The first stage of our approach to BW User Adoption is to look at your current usage patterns.

This will investigate:

• Who your biggest users of BW are
  
• Who is not using BW and why?
  
• Are there discernable peaks and troughs in usage?
  

The review will take its input from a number of SAP system tables and BW Technical Content where available.

A Bluefin System Usage Review typically takes two days to complete.
