Based out in Cape Town, Herman is Head of Consulting (SA) as well as Bluefin's Head of Enterprise Data Warehousing within the Business Analytics & Technology team.
A management accountant by training, Herman has been involved in improving business performance through the use of SAP technology during the past 11 years of his career. He started out as an end-user, moved onto a business analyst role supporting CO-PA and then spent 8 years as a SAP BW/BI consultant.
Herman has been involved in numerous BI implementations across a range of industries including FMCG, Media, Financial Services and Information Technology. He typically acts as a Solution Architect on BI projects and advises customers on design best practice and technology options for achieving their business objectives. He has experience implementing projects using traditional waterfall approaches as well as agile methodologies such as SCRUM. He also has a track record of managing and delivering projects remotely and is enthusiastic about exploiting online collaboration technology.
