I studied Business Information Technology at Kingston University.  This was a four year course with a third year industrial placement, and I spent this year working for SAP as a Junior Basis Consultant.  It was on the strength of this experience that I joined Bluefin in May 2004 as a Junior Consultant with the intention to cross train into BW and become a BW / Basis Consultant.

My first project started on my second day and involved the installation of an internal CRM system.  I soon learnt that within Bluefin you were given a great deal of responsibility and accountability for your work but also plenty of support and guidance.  This was ideal for growing my skills, knowledge and above all my confidence.

I started to cross train into BW working on a series of Business Content implementations in the areas of FI, CO, SD and PP.  I worked alongside senior consultants who always took time to explain BW theory and helped me to put this into practice.  In addition to BW skills I learnt a great deal about being a Consultant by observing their interaction with the client: this method of cross training really worked for me and was more advantageous than attending training courses to learn theory.

I joined the Bluefin Off-Site Services team (BOSS) in February 2006 whilst the team was still relatively small.  This was a personal election to move back to the office to join a young and growing team.  My experience in BOSS has been fantastic! Within months of joining the team I gained my Certification in BW 3.5 and am now enjoying the challenges that a support environment raises, learning all the way.  I get to deal with a variety of technical and functional issues of varying complexity on a daily basis, whilst working within a great team of people where we all strive towards building a great rapport with our clients.
