Life at Bluefin Print E-mail

Many companies promise a collegiate culture. Bluefin lives it. We make sure consultants don’t feel isolated – and that they get the full benefit of being in the team.

We call it “The Bluefin Community”. It’s our way of ensuring that even consultants out on site get the benefits – both social and developmental – of being a real part of the team. How does it work? Here are some examples:

Golden Fridays

On the third Friday of every month we encourage all project teams to work from either our Liverpool or London offices so that they can exchange knowledge – and join team training sessions.

Quarterly company meetings

The whole company is invited, of course. It’s a chance to pass on information about the business and the market, run interactive sessions to get input from all our people on how the company can improve – and the social side is a chance to catch up in a relaxed setting.

Regular newsletters and email updates

It’s also important to let people know what projects are going on and any other general company news. All projects contribute to the newsletter and it often contains internal updates. Our people should always feel well-informed.

Social clubs

Sometimes it’s good to get to know each other outside client sites or the office. Membership of our clubs is subsidised and activities decided by the members – but have included rock climbing, go-karting, a trip to a comedy club or just dinner and a few drinks.

Mentoring events

Mentoring is an important part of the Bluefin culture. Mentor groups include people from every discipline and level within the company – and offer an great opportunity to mix, share thoughts and create new approaches internally and for clients.

Summer and Christmas Party

Just to say thank-you to our people, their partners and family.
