The Bluefin methodology is integrated into SAP Solution Manager to control the project, as in previous blog, but now we want to use Nimbus Control in combination with SAP Solution Manager to run the project implementation.

This encompasses the use of ASAP methodology within a wider ranging business process initiative and now has strong links with the new RunSAP methodology. A customer can now mitigate a majority of the risks earlier in the project.

• Analyse – create “as is” processes
• Design – create “to be” processes
• Implement – build system to handle “to be”
• Operate – go live and promote on going business change

With SAP Solution Manager and Nimbus Control 2007 (full SAP certified integration) we can apply controls to the project and also speed up the process mapping, testing, training and support.

• Processes are mapped in Nimbus Control
• Processes converted into scope in SAP Solution Manager
• Scope extracted into Nimbus Control with transaction links
• Process maps imported from Nimbus Control into SAP Solution Manager providing URL links to process maps
• Testing and training storyboards created in Nimbus Control

Key processes are set up from the Business Process Repository in SAP Solution Manager, but bespoke processes can also be added including any config steps, these are linked to process maps held in Nimbus Control that have been agreed by the business and the links are regularly updated to provide the controls that the business know that the solution is delivering what the business require.
